About Crushing It Chronically
I’m of the opinion that just because a traditional workplace/job doesn’t suite our health needs doesn’t mean we’re a burden, less valuable, or incapable of building or accomplishing great things!
Crushing It Chronically exists to give tips and resources for managing time, money, business, & life for entrepreneurs, bloggers, business owners, organizers of chaos, or those aspiring to be, despite chronic illness!
This website began as a personal blog in rebellion to chronic illness, where I could share my tips, hacks, and lessons learned in living life in action alongside multiple chronic conditions after years of many requests from friends, family, and those I met along life’s journey.
I’ve been constantly asked “How do you do it? How do you get so much done, keep learning, and excel even with your ailments? Despite random hospitalizations, down days, and health challenges?”.
Having everything on one website would keep me from having the same conversation on repeat. I could finally just share a link to help them out and if they had more questions there would eventually be an endless supply of information housed there; really helping with brain fog days 😉
Six months into the project in 2019 I became frustrated. I hated the site being named after me, it wasn’t about me, it’s about those visiting the site. I sat the project down for another six months until finally the name “Crushing It Chronically” (placed on my heart in early 2018 but I rejected it) finally settled in. By August 2019 I slowly began rebranding the entire site, social media accounts, and articles.
I’m SO happy that Crushing It Chronically was born out of this frustration and I didn’t give up! It gave such a clarity to the direction of the website, the content it would contain!
Crushing goals, running a business, living life actively, and being financially savvy while juggling the unknown rollercoaster of a chronic illness sounds intimidating and scary but when you take a step back to evaluate the situation properly, it’s definitely possible!
Coming up with easy systems, automations, and backups might sound like overkill for the average person. Maybe even a little overwhelming, confusing, and really just not a comfort zone to feel forced to go to.
But someone with chronic illness knows all to well how vital these things are in everyday life, so why not be intentional in implementing them in business?
Or how about systems that help you manage not just business but life tasks simultaneously?
Or even figuring out ways to maximize return while reducing your effort on the organization, automations, and backup plans?
Sounds like a lot….that’s what Crushing It Chronically is here for!
