Having just celebrated 18 years of marriage this l Having just celebrated 18 years of marriage this last month and getting the opportunity to hunt again... I've really let my creativity run wild with a hunting and wedding/event venue passion project I started over the summer but had to sit down due to time restraints.

Wild Ridge Venue - for those who want a standard of class and injection of outdoors to their events.

I've created handkerchief patterns, picture books, hand drawn venue mapping, branded shotgun shell holders, venue dining menus, and more to bring this to life.

It'll definitely be featured on the website soon as I've just fallen in love with this idea.

Would you book a wedding with a hunting trip honeymoon combo package??

I know I would!
Daddy's ride or die and hubby's hand loads gave me Daddy's ride or die and hubby's hand loads gave me a memory I'll forever cherish last night!

When Daddy went home to Jesus 2 years ago I was adamant I didn't want anything except this .357 to stay in the family.

I'm not really a sentimental person, I've lost so much in my life that I've had to teach myself not to cling to things of this world, but this pistol has stories.

When Daddy went anywhere, he would grab her up, look at me and say "Come on girl". Growing up, I was Daddy's ride or die too.

All I wanted was this pistol to stay in the family. Secretly, I wanted to use it and make more memories with another good man in my life, but I wanted my little brother to have first option more.

If he had gotten her, I knew it would be in good hands with someone who appreciated it and had memories to go with it...and I would've been so happy...but I was adamant it wasn't to get sold or given elsewhere.

My mom and Walker decided to entrust it to me.
Yes, I cried like a big baby when I opened that box, so many mixed emotions.

After we got her home, Jared surprised me with polishing her up just like Daddy kept her before he got sick. He put the original wood handles away for safe keeping and got me Hogue grips to fit my hand.

When we've taken it out to shoot I've struggled to get through a cylinder without crying, still dead accurate, as much as I wanted to start carrying it hunting, I just wasn't sure if I could pull it off or if I'd fall apart and not be able to take a shot.

It all came together last night with this doe coming in at 35 yards, we were pressured by a sick coon 6 feet from us about to bust us, and the doe was moving towards the cows. God allowed a situation that I didn't have time to sit and think about it to risk falling apart lol.

I now have my first deer with a pistol, much needed meat in the freezer, and another forever memory with this .357, but this time, it's with my husband.

I'm so grateful for a friend sharing his property this doe weekend with us, God lining up the turn of events for this harvest, and my husband who encouraged me to trust my capabilities and not chicken out of the shot lol

So many mixed emotions 🥹💜
In our brand architecture session, we guided Matt In our brand architecture session, we guided Matt and our website development partners through a strategy to seamlessly position Florida Day Care Insurance (FDCI) within the Ostrander Risk Partners brand family.

By analyzing iconic brand ecosystems like Coca-Cola’s and P&G’s, we demonstrated how FDCI could maintain its unique identity while subtly reflecting Ostrander Risk Partners as the foundation, while also carving out a relatable uniqueness that resonates with the daycare industry.

This approach not only elevates FDCI’s presence but also sets the stage for future acquisitions to integrate smoothly, building a legacy-driven brand hierarchy with trust and consistency at its core.

Oh the plans this little book contains 💜💚 We exper Oh the plans this little book contains 💜💚 We experienced a 32% revenue increase in 2023 after crafting the initial branding for the gun shop...let's see if we can make moves in 2025!

In between client work we've decided to expand the brand. I decided to hand draw the logo on this notebook that will house our YouTube strategy notes, expansion notes, and business brainstorming sessions.

I tell clients all the time "Start your planning before January. You don't have to wait until a certain date to make plans and start making moves."

I'm hoping to make some progress on the brand's expansion assets over holiday breaks... we'll see what I can fit in 💜💚

P.S. Our YouTube channel is all things precision + removing intimidation from the sport.

We took a poll on our YouTube community tab and the next video requested was 'How I Got My Wife Into Long Range Shooting and Competing' so that's the next video on the list.

I sat social media down this year, just relied on I sat social media down this year, just relied on referrals for both businesses. Here's what happened!

Professional growth:
🔥I've grown my network and added some really amazing friends in business that also jive with my personal interests and values.

🔥My design abilities have 5x'd - confidence boost!

🔥I've identified strategy frameworks we do on repeat that are now part of our IP (Intellectual Property)

🔥I've been collaborating with a Marketing Manager and we're working on making him officially part of the studio.

🔥We launched a YouTube channel for the gun business and are prepping to launch the podcast for the studio soon

Personal growth:
💜 Had my first rifle match back after 9 months off and my best finish to date.

💜Spent a lot more fun time with my husband

💜Read more paperback books than I have in years

💜Lost weight, turned carnivore, and am slowly getting control back over my autoimmune conditions

💜I've spent more time in Bible Study - really enjoying mapping right now.

📢The part you're ACTUALLY interested in:
🥳My make-shift website is getting filtered leads (built in a weekend after my prior hosting deleted everything a year ago)

🥳My network is sending referrals and making introductions 🤌🏼

🥳I'm closer to the desired future version of me than I was in January

🥳My personal brand is growing. I get people asking frequently "Are you the guns and graphics girl ___was telling me about?" Which is pretty cool.

🥳My business is growing slow and steady, definitely in the direction of my goals, but also manageable with chronic illness.

🥳Life has been more fun, more restful, and way less stressful

🎉I'm glad I stepped away from social - but I'm glad just opening the app doesn't give me anxiety anymore or send me into doom scrolling for hours lol

We all need to step away sometimes, shift our workload, and rest.

With the holidays and new year rapidly approaching, I hope this is a helpful perspective as you plan ahead.
